Is there any downtime at migration progress?

No. A migration to ASEOHosting is designed to be a zero-downtime move. During the transfer your website files exist on both the old server and the ASEOHosting server at the same time, and they stay there right through name server propagation. Whichever server a visitor's DNS resolves to, they get a working copy of your site, so there is no window where the site is simply unreachable.

Why there is no gap in availability

The reason downtime is avoided is that we do not switch anything off before the new home is ready. The sequence is copy first, verify, then repoint DNS:

1. Your files and databases are copied to the ASEOHosting server while the original host keeps serving live traffic exactly as before.
2. The site is checked on the new server so we know it loads correctly before any DNS change.
3. Only then are the name servers updated to point at ASEOHosting.
4. Both copies stay online throughout propagation, so a visitor whose DNS still points to the old server and a visitor whose DNS has already updated both see a working site.

The old copy is only retired once propagation has fully settled and traffic is arriving on the new server.

What propagation means for you

When name servers change, the update does not reach every network at once. Different resolvers around the world pick up the new records at different times, a process usually described as DNS propagation, and it can take anything from a few minutes to a couple of days depending on the previous TTL settings. Because both servers are kept live for the whole of that period, this staggered update does not translate into an outage. It simply means some visitors are briefly served by the old server and others by the new one, and both are showing the same content.

A few sensible precautions

• Avoid making content or database changes on the old site once the copy has been taken, otherwise edits made during the window may not be reflected on the new server.
• If your site relies on email on the same domain, confirm mail routing after the switch as well as web traffic.
• Keep your old hosting account active until propagation has clearly finished and traffic has moved across, then cancel it.

For search visibility, a same-domain host move like this does not change your URLs, so there is nothing for search engines to re-map. Google's own guidance on site moves is aimed at moves that do change addresses; a straightforward server migration with the same domain avoids that complexity entirely.
