On a single ASEOHosting VPS you can bind up to 950 different Class C IPs. That is the practical ceiling we provision per virtual server, which is more than enough address diversity for most agency, multi-site and PBN setups running on one machine.

What "different Class C" actually means here

An IPv4 address is written as four numbers, for example 203.0.113.24. In classful terms a Class C block is defined by the first three numbers (the first three octets), so 203.0.113.x is one Class C range and 203.0.114.x is a different one. When we say up to 950 different Class C IPs, we mean addresses that sit in separate third-octet ranges, not 950 addresses stacked inside the same block. That distinction is the whole point for search footprint work: two sites on 203.0.113.10 and 203.0.113.11 share a Class C, while 203.0.113.10 and 198.51.100.10 do not.

Why the count matters, and why it does not

A dedicated or diverse IP is not a positive ranking signal on its own. Search engines do not reward a site for sitting on its own Class C. The value is defensive and organisational:

  • Neighbour reputation. On crowded shared IPs you inherit whatever the other tenants do. Spread across separate Class C ranges you are insulated from a bad neighbour on the same address.
  • Footprint control. If you run a network of related sites, keeping them off a single tight IP block avoids the most obvious technical fingerprint that ties them together.
  • Deliverability and isolation. Separate ranges keep one site's mail or traffic problems from bleeding onto the others.

None of that manufactures rankings. It reduces avoidable risk. Google's own guidance on what it does and does not reward is worth reading before you plan around IP counts.

How many do you actually need?

Almost nobody needs all 950. The right number depends on how many sites you host and how much separation you want between clusters. A common approach is one Class C per site or per small group of sites, then scale as the portfolio grows. Because the ceiling is high, you have room to expand on the same VPS instead of migrating later. If you outgrow a single server, you can split the network across more than one VPS for additional isolation.

Getting these IPs onto your server

The IP allocation is handled when the VPS is provisioned and the addresses are bound at the network level, so you do not configure them by hand one at a time.
