Accessing cPanel and your client area for the first time

After you sign up, you get two separate logins: the client area (for billing, invoices, and support) and cPanel (for building and managing the actual website). Your welcome email contains both. This guide walks you through reaching each one for the first time and what to do once you are in.

The two logins, and why they are different

The client area is the ASEOHosting account portal. It is where you pay invoices, open tickets, register or manage domains, and see which packages you own. cPanel is the control panel for a specific hosting account: files, email, databases, DNS, and your dedicated IP live there. One client area account can hold several cPanel accounts, so keep the two sets of credentials distinct.

Logging in to your client area

1. Open the welcome email titled with your new account details and find the client area URL plus your email address and password.
2. Go to that URL and enter your email and password. If you did not set a password at checkout, use the Forgot Password link to have a reset sent to your registered address.
3. Once inside, review the Services and Invoices tabs so you know what is active and what is due.
4. Turn on two factor authentication under your profile security settings. This login controls billing and domains, so protect it.

Logging in to cPanel

You can reach cPanel two ways. The simplest is from inside the client area: open your active service and click the Login to cPanel button, which signs you in automatically. To log in directly instead:

1. Take the cPanel URL from the welcome email. It usually ends in :2083 (the secure cPanel port).
2. Enter the cPanel username and password from the email. These are not the same as your client area credentials.
3. On first login, cPanel (Jupiter theme) shows the dashboard. Confirm the domain, disk usage, and the dedicated IP listed under General Information.

First things to check

Point your domain at your account by updating the nameservers or A record shown in the welcome email, then set up SSL and email. Note that your dedicated Class C IP is a defensive, footprint-control feature: it keeps your site off a shared address alongside unrelated neighbors. It is not a ranking boost by itself, and search engines still judge you on content and genuine value.
