What organisation validation actually gives you
Every trusted certificate, whether it is DV or OV, delivers the same padlock and the same strength of encryption. The visible difference in the browser is small. The real value of OV is the vetted company information embedded in the certificate: anyone who inspects the certificate details can see that a named, verified organisation controls the site.
